Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for the Newcastle midfielder, Sean Longstaff, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to strengthen his squad ahead of a first full season in charge at Old Trafford.

The 21-year-old, who has made 13 senior appearances for Newcastle, is reportedly on Solskjaer's list of transfer targets along with Daniel James of Swansea and Declan Rice of West Ham.

Paulo Dybala has dismissed reports that he could leave Juventus amid interest from United, while the Reds have reportedly identified Norwich City's Stuart Webber as a candidate for the vacant technical director role.

Meanwhile, Lyon forward Moussa Dembele is reported to be the subject of United interest. The former Celtic striker, 22, scored 23 goals in 51 appearances in his first season in Ligue 1. New technical director candidate?

Manchester United are considering Norwich City director of football Stuart Webber to fill their technical director vacancy, according to reports.

The Sun reports that Webber, who helped mastermind the Canaries’ return to the Premier League, is in the frame for the job at United which will be vital to overseeing the rebuild needed right now.

MEN Sport understands United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward is putting together a transfer committee which, it is reported, Webber will sit on, along with some former players.

Atletico 'make Joao Felix bid'

It seems that while City and United have been taking turns to be linked with Joao Felix, another team has come along to quietly join the race.

Correio da Manha Sport (via SportWitness) say Atletico Madrid have just offered €80m for the winger.

However, comments from the Benfica hierarchy this week made it clear that kind of offer would not be accepted, with the club standing firm at the €120m release clause.

Manchester United will rival Liverpool for Fluminese’s 17-year-old wonderkid Joao Pedro, reports in Brazail say.

Lance (via SportWitness) claim United have enquired about the player, but there is a complication in any potential deal thanks to a clause in his contract involving Watford.

The Hornets reportedly paid €2.5m to sign the player in 2020 with another €7.5m to be paid when he arrives.

But if any other club want to sign Pedro, Watford will get €20m for their troubles - so United would have to pay Fluminese’s asking price plus the fee due to Watford.

He’s been speaking toabout his future.
